bottom half forward-facing runner frame-3

Forward-Facing Runner Lower Frame 3

𜷳 is the third lower tile of a forward-facing runner from the Mattel Aquarius home computer. Its fixed graphics set, in use in 1983, gave games ready-made figures and simple animation.

What 𜷳 means

It is the lower half of one runner pose. Aquarius graphics used separate character tiles in a screen grid. This piece pairs with a separate top tile to make the full forward-facing figure.

How did the Aquarius animate the runner?

Ready-made tiles supplied game figures. The Aquarius had no freely programmable character graphics, so games used pre-drawn screen tiles. One upper runner tile and four changing lower poses could suggest a running cycle; in text, 𜷳 remains one still glyph.

Why does 𜷳 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
